2 light Island fixture
Has anyone used the 2 light island fixtures for a kitchen table?
I was thinking to purchase this style and didn't really like the 5 light or more for over our table, seemed a bit much. But the 2 light looked more casual to me. Any thoughts?

lospoblanos I have seen it done, but you just have to make sure the scale and size of the light fits with the scale and size of your table. If all that is correct you should be happy!

diyher thanks :) the table with the 18" leaf is 70", without 52"
So that would make the 34" light centered have 8 inches on each side of the table when the leaf is hidden, and with the leaf, about 18" left on both sides. Does that sound scaled right? I'm not sure if there is a standard to go by :)

A. Peltier Interiors I have never done it but that doesnt mean it is wrong. It should work fins over your table. Go for it!

diyher actually I haven't, so thank you for the links. You won't believe how much time I have spent looking for a matching light set, one for over the sink (mini pendant), possible match for our island fan light and kitchen table. I think I changed my mind 3 times so far lol. I'll go read up on your links

diyher thanks, I think I did spot wayfair.com, but haven't checked if they have similar designs.
I'll check ballarddesigns.com
I've been doing Google image searches on lights I liked to see how many other companies sell them :)

Curb Appeal Renovations you do not have to have matching lights...so don't think that you do! and why not go for something funky over your table? personally, this looks more like an island light to me than a dining table...but hey, this is your dining table than it is mine! one other thought, is it going to give you enough light? that's another concern. I'd find a good lighting store that can help you. A lot of people think...oh...they're going to be TOO expensive. They're not. They have to be just as competitive as any where else and they're a great help. Some times they'll even have sales where you can pick up something at a great buy!!

diyher These are the valances I recently bought for our kitchen over our sink, and the 5 windows in a 4x8 bump out in our kitchen The color I bought was Seafoam http://www.countrycurtains.com/product/08275v6201+aviary+lined+layered+scalloped+valance.do?sortby=ourPicks&from=Search
I actually did go to one of the local light stores that I normally find what I want as far as table lamps, foyer, and our ceiling fans and lighting, bathroom lighting. But so far I saw nothing I liked or would fit the decor style as far as kitchen table.

diyher ok, now I'm on the fence :) found another light that could work. I noticed it because I liked their table lamp that I can use for my office desk.
Here is the large pendant light that can use 5 100 watt bulbs.
