Looking at different cabinet companies for kitchen remodel???
Has anyone used Precision Cabinets or Dura Supreme before? Did you like the way they came out (finish/durability/construction)? California cabinet makers (Precision) have a lot of restrictions on the chemical/techniques they use to finish the cabinets and therefor may not hold up as well as out of state manufacturers (Dura Supreme)...Any thoughts and/or experiences with this? So hard to pull the trigger on the cabinet decision!

A Kitchen That Works LLC I am not familiar with Precision but I am familiar with Dura Supreme. I have specified Dura cabinetry for the past six years (happily) along with other cabinet lines. Because many manufacturers, like Dura, sell in states such as Calif. they have to use manufacturing standards that comply with those states standards. Calif is one of the biggest buying markets, so whether you are manufacturing shower heads or cabinets, it is imperative that manufactures build to Calif's regulations. Most factory finishes are going to hold up for you. Smaller custom shops can't always provide that level of durability.

Calikath @A Kitchen that Works....Thanks so much for the information....it feels like I'm buying a car!!! Cabinets have gone up a lot in California since I bought mine back in 2001....Just want to make sure I'm getting my moneys worth, and more importantly they hold up longer than 10 years (more like 5 years) like my last ones.

A Kitchen That Works LLC Cabinetry typically comprises 40% of a kitchen remodel budget and has a significant visual impact on the overall room. It is important that you love your cabinets. Remember that you can order a sample door from any manufacturer, before you commit to the total purchase. This will allow you to check the color and style with the other finishes/styling in your home. The cost is nominal, around $100.00, think of it as an insurance policy.
