Our new house has a navy blue carpet in a bedroom, what color besides white.
This is the room for our college girl and she is stuck not wanting navy blue and white as a choice.

Design Freedom, inc. throw a thin room-sized rug over that carpeting and decorate it however you like!

jolieblue Definitely lime green, or fresh apple green if lime is too bold for you. It's current and crisp and wonderful. Use lots of white with it too.

Aja Mazin I am fond of yellow with navy.
Pink would also look great.

Joni Koenig Interiors Shades of gray look great with navy and you can combine the white to keep it fresh

handymam I second the use of yellow or the apple green. Either will take away some of the "navy blueness" of the rug.

soberg Navy goes with practically EVERY color! Hot pink, any shade of purple, mushroom, taupe, any shade of green, orange, yellow, gray, cream....in fact I'm struggling to think of a color that wouldn't work. Use of brighter colors will make the navy fade into a neutral.

mepulc Thank you guys. I will pass on these ideas and photos to my daughter. I think is that she does not consider herself a "navy" person but now I can say, "think of jeans" they go with everything.
