pollyannagal Because of how your cupboards and boiler extend in front of the window, I would remove the curtain pole and hang either a roman blind or a roller blind so the top of the blind is level with the top of the cupboards. Where the pole currently is chops up the space too much. A roller blind within the window recess would also work as they can be rolled up to a very small amount when open, but a roman blind here would cut too much light.

Dulanyi Cindy Hi there, i was thinking about the roman blind, but i could not find the right colour for it.

blindsdirectcanada I would actually recommend a Roller screen shade. I think it will look great in the space and it wipes down with a damp cloth for cleaning which is always great for a kitchens.

blindsdirectcanada I forgot to mention to remove the rod and mount the blind a few inches above the window.

pollyannagal In terms of colours for the blind, I would suggest that you look for a horizontal stripe that includes shades of brown, cream and orange to connect the cupboards, tiles, worktop and wall colour. There are already a lot of colours going on in a small space with these elements so don't try and introduce any more. Alternatively a split wood or bamboo blind with shades of brown would be good.
