Warm grays will still give a feel of relaxation...you can add texture for interest, but having movement in the tile like marble makes it more traditional looking...a solid color like the glass tile or in a ceramic tile is a more modern feeling. What are the other colors and feel of the adjoining spaces?? It will help with the flow of the house as a whole to integrate the style and color palette to some extent. Lighting in the space is a huge factor and should be considered carefully...if a space is lit properly it will feel more open.......are there windows for natural light?
