My basement guest "apartment" has green granite on kitchenette counter.
Walls are dark green. Who paints a basement dark? Especially in Alaska, where long winters are dark. Need ideas for colors . I hate the granite, but not in the budget to change now. We will only be here 5 years. Attached bath has nice tile, but need to repaint.

The Grand Design Cute kitchen.

Judy M The paint does not look dark in the first photo but I definitely see the darkness in the second and third photo. I would change the paint, but I think the kitchen is adorable and would be happy to be a guest.

flgrandma Everything looks good in the photos. The bathroom color does look too dark. Maybe just go with a lighter shade of the same? The kitchen doesn't look dark in the photos. It looks like a very nice color. Perhaps the same idea of the same color, but lighter. I'm guessing that you live upstairs and this is just for visitors. If so, you don't want to do too much. It's very attractive right now.

DIRECTBUY OF FORT WORTH Change the paint to a warm cream color. It will brighten everything up and still work with tile and granite. Easy redo.
