Help with basket
I am almost embarrased to post this picture but i need help. I love this basket but dont know what to put in it. Obviously what I have isnt enough or tall enough. Anyone have pictures of something similar?

Lauren Witherspoon Peninger I have also tried putting styrofoam at bottom to raise what is inside but no luck

Interiors International, Inc. I don't have a picture but bamboo canes look great.

Keitha Bamboo is the first thing I thought of too! Maybe take a look at Pier 1 ...they usually have a variety of options. If nothing else, go for a walk in the woods and find some interesting branches.

MAGGIE FLOWERS INTERIOR DESIGN LTD What else is in the space....if you want a softer look you could go with mountain grasses (tall)...or other faux branches that have leaves or berries that are malleable and have a fuller look instead of straight up....all work with the container....what works for the rest of the space?

MAGGIE FLOWERS INTERIOR DESIGN LTD don't hesitate to mix different grasses etc....like you started there....you just need more height and more of them:)

gioremodel Hard to say without seeing the rest of the room and feel of it. I do recommend placing sunflowers of different heights. Stay with an odd number of stalks. Makes for a more dynamic design. Also place the basket on a nice small and not too tall base to anchor the piece.

Aja Mazin Oh what memories!

We had a large one when I was a child.

My brothers use to stuff me in it.
[it had no bottom]

i would love to have one now.

Where can I get one?
[I checked Pier 1]

IF YOURS HAS A BOTTOM, USE CLAY KITTY LITTER TO HOLD THE OBJECTS IN PLACE.

Winward Designs How about adding some Cherry Blossom or other floral branches like magnolias and dogwood in the basket? It's the perfect time for some spring decor. If you like any of these, we can have them special ordered for you. (pictures are in this order, White Cherry Blossom, White Dogwood, Purple and White Magnolia branch.

ASVInteriors A radical idea is to find a dead shrub - such as a crepe myrtle - something that is quite tall but has lots of limbs pointing upwards (See image below) Spray paint it bright blue (Yves Klein blue) for something modern, or black for something muted. Proportionally it should be 2/3 taller than the height of your vase.

Winward Designs Hi Lauren, The purple magnolias are 34" in length. I do have the same flower in fuchsia at 43.5". Dogwood is 48" and Cherry Blossom is 21". I attached a photo of a cherry blossom we have in light green that is 67" in length. Also the Magnolia in Fuchsia at 43.5".

Aja Mazin LIGHTED BRANCHES WOULD BE FANTASTIC.

zenhome Agree with comments above of going with large bamboo sticks. Simplicity is the key. Don't go with lighted branches in this style of vase. It would end up looking too contrived and tacky.

Apartment 46 for the Home ASV Interiors are clearly "my kind" of people. I cannot stand faux flowers and I know this is awful and blunt but curly willow and bamboo are very vanilla and overdone. Without seeing the rest of the room, it's hard to say but branches are always a go to. Great, found, mossy branches with interest. newspaper bunched up adds height. Let us know what you decide!

Tracy Taylor I have a very tall vase instead of foam in the bottom try a floral foam in the neck... you can get disks from Micheal's it works great! Target has some fabulous Magnolias in white and Pier One has some great orchids and cherry blossoms... good luck!

raing You could make a frame inside the neck.Use sharp wooden skewers, and crisis cross them . Then it will hold your floral choices up . I do this all the time. You can make the openings any size to insert the floral choices.

Aja Mazin It is all a matter of taste!
