Does This Table Work????
Tried to match my new custom ordered table and chairs to my floors and cabinets. Just not sure how I'm feeling about it. I tend to be too matchy matchy!! So my concern is whether it looks ok or not?? The top had a small crack so it will be replaced. This is my time to make any changes if I want to. There were lots of options but other woods didn't look good and I am kind of getting a colonial feel that i don't like. Ignore red rug it will be getting replaced. It looks different every way i look. Please HELP!!

I know this will pull together when I get accessories. What do you think of floor and cabinets with this?

I am confused.
I am presently making slip covers for 2 parson's chairs but, how do you cover wooden chairs?
I like your table very much.
No colonial feel!
I particularly like the wood you choose for the top.
May I ask the type of wood and finish, please?
very pretty table and chairs.
slipcovering the chairs in a flax or print would be a nice option. however i prefer just swapping 2 for the seagrass. colorful art on 1 wall and a large mirror on the other.
have you thought of adding a chair rail?
hang a decorative curtain rod 6-10" above the top of the window and hang colorful print, heavy panels to the floor.
a larger bright , patterned rug would be pretty.try something completely unexpected. get out of your comfort zone and surprise your friends. and yourself!
You asked the question:
"Does This Table Work????"
There are two problems:
1.] Some people do not read
2.] but feel free to to given unwanted advice.
I happen to love your light fixture.
Don't let one person's opinion sway you.
Don't let any of us stress you out. Free advice (which I give a lot of) is often worth exactly what you pay for it, so take it all with a grain of salt. The advice people give is like looking through a decorating book or reading a magazine. You look through, take the ideas you like, adapt ideas that are close, and ignore the rest and you end up with something that is uniquely you and perfect for your tastes and needs.
Can't imagine doing all you have done already. You are doing great and obviously have good taste.
