Need help with the bench!

Tara WielandFebruary 9, 2013
We are completely remodeling this house and this is the dining room. Obviously, floors, windows and walls are being replaced. As far as the bench goes, I'm thinking of leaving it and adding a cushioned seat to act as seating for one side of the table. I hate the tile though and need some ideas for the base and general tips on how to not make it look awkward. Any ideas are welcome!!

You could finish it for a recessed or raised panel look or use drawers if it allows once you remove the tile.
