Need help in my living room-dining table
Hi. I am new here and I need your advice please in my living room. What curtains do you think fit the color of my sofas? And for the rug also. I need my living room to be cozy because we spend most of our time in this room. I was thinking to add light green, or terkwaz ...if you are confused with the color of the sofas you can check the last photo I took from houzz, it's almost the same color of this arm chair. And for my dining table, I am planning to put wallpaper on booths walls ..what color should it be? Please note that the living room and the dining room are beside each other so.. I am waiting for your worthy advice. Thanks a lot in advance

njmomma Are the couches in the pink family, tan family, or pink tan family. ;-) I guess that would make it a flesh color?

audgerm Keep the curtains neutral, maybe a floor to ceiling cream. Overstock.com has some great are rugs. Without being too matchy, you could bring some green in this room too...just something a shade darker green.

Carolyn Albert-Kincl Design I would first lighten up the room with draperies made, floor to ceiling, wall to wall, out of an off white fabric. Then I would select a contemporary rug with turquoise and the sofa color in it. I'd repeat the rug colors, plus white in the pillows. The wallpaper would be a large scale turquoise geometric pattern.

midmodfan I think your biggest problem is the lighting. With a ceiling fixture as the only light source you'll never achieve 'coziness'. Add some floor and/or table lamps.

carolins Not saying you should do something like this, although I do like it, but I just had to show you :-)

Carolyn Albert-Kincl Design Midmodfan is so right about lighting. Beautiful things badly lighted cannot show their beauty. You need a combination of lamp light, both floor and table lamps, plus wall washers to highlight artwork and wallpaper. You need a chandelier in your dining room, not your living room.
