They say you should buy the most unattractive house on the block....
But they don't tell you what to do after you have bought it! My house is pretty much a blank slate. Things that absolutely need to be fixed in addition to the obvious lack of curb appeal are the lame stairs to the front door, lack of architectural interest whatsoever (unless you count the partial board/batten siding :) ), and how to work with the brick chimney. Let's call my target style "raised ranch revival". If you had $20-25k to spend, where would you spend it?

judyg I love your house, the siding, the front chimney….I would do a fabulous, outstanding deck, some landscaping along the foundation. That should eat up your $25,000.00
