Kitchen dilemma
This antique table is a treasure to my DH and is in my kitchen. I've tried to hide wires from electronics without success. Any ideas how to make this setting look better, apart from skirting the table? From design challenged first time poster.

carolannr How about a built-in sort of shelf unit coming down to the top of the table from around the tv and putting all that stuff on the shelves. Cords can be hidden with cord holder devices. Looks like it also serves as a desk? Those items could also sit on the shelves. A cleared, open tabletop always looks better than clutter.

cypress Hi, if you sit at this table/desk, I would clear everything out from underneath and place a light weight storage type ottoman that could be pulled out when needed, and it would fill in the space and hide any cords that could not be contained. You could also put a large hinged basket below that could be used as storage as well. On top you could place a nice tray to hold your papers, file folder, etc.

Jayme Hobbs My suggestion was going to be very similar to Cypress's. I have a library table as well...they r lovely and I understand this dilemma.

sarahmchugh We don't use it as a desk. I like the ottoman suggestion and will clear off the clutter. Thanks
