Need help for backyard landscaping
We have a messy backyard. There is basically no layer at all, but has almost all sorts of things...big trees, small trees, play unit, concretes...We wanna change as little things as possible to do a makeover. My hubby has dig the lawn out and wanna to put the new one on the dirt area next to the concrete. We are thinking to enlarge the concrete area a bit (maybe)? Any idea would be appreciated. Thanks so much.

eztia Hmmm. I would begin by making a list of the things you and your family want to do when you are in the yard. For example,
1.) children's swing set area
2.) children's play house area
3.) children's sandbox
4.) eating area for (# of people) (covered?)
5.) fire pit?
6.) privacy from neighbor's view (left, right, back wall??)
7.) lawn
8.) fruit tree
9.) vegetable garden
10.) flower garden
11.) shade tree

Once you have made your own list, look at the layout of the yard and figure out where these activities make sense. You might choose to work around the existing concrete and/or trees. You might choose to start "with a clean slate." You might choose to hire a landscaper to help you.

It looks as if you have a good sized plot of land to work with.
Best wishes.

EasyTurf EasyTurf is a great alternative to planing, replanting, mowing, fertilizing, watering and otherwise maintaining your lawn. You'll have a year-round, lush green lawn without all the hassle. Plus, it provides children a soft, comfortable playing surface without the dirt and bugs. A large number of customers are pet owners who just love it and our turf is FieldTurf which is used for the NFL so you can imagine how tough it is. Here's a few photos of recent installs -
