Window Treatment Ideas
We moved into an older home a few months ago and have been remodeling every little inch ourselves. We just got new wood blinds (in white) on the living room windows but I am struggling with what to put on these bay windows. Unfortunately, they don't have a lot of character to them. We are planning on putting a window seat below so if any one has any plans for that they would like to share....great. Any ideas are welcome.

hevs Nice balloon shades that hang on the inside of the mouldings would be nice - I would do a French blue and white toile or ticking or flower it will be really light and bright with out too much fuss.

hkuk Do you really need to cover these windows? When you have a window seat it's lovely to look out the window. If you are definite about window covers then I would put in a simple roller blind.

winnerk Thanks for the feedback. We do need some type of light window covering since the sun beats in through these windows during the day. We will probably do a woven wood blind and keep them pulled up half way.

JMittman Designs A window seat would be great here. Add a cushion and a couple throw pillows too. If you get lots of sun in those windows, I would do roman shades or woven wood shades with a blackout lining/liner to stop that sun from beating in. do inside mount so you sill see the pretty woodwork.--Actually--are there screens on the inside of the windows? You may need to be careful on an inside mount if so.
