Are hundi lanterns appropriate for lighting above a kitchen island?
I am thinking of placing a single hundi lantern (dimensions 14.5" w x 31" h) above my kitchen island (4.5' x 5') instead of 2 smaller pendant lights. We have 9 foot ceilings. Any advice?

onthefence I had to look it up to see what it was ;-) It's a pretty fixture - but would it provide enough light for working?

jaelync We have 9 recessed lights outlining the perimeter of the kitchen, under cabinet lighting and a pendant light above the sink. Just not sure a single fixture with those dimensions will be enough. But also torn on how to space pendant lights over a square island without looking cluttered.
