Coat Hook Wall dilemma.
Hello Houzz community,

I have a coat hook wall dilemma.

Option 1: is a very clean look; the Mahoney wood trim is 5” height with large hooks.

Option 2: upper Mahoney wood trim is 5” with large with hooks, lower Mahoney wood trim is 5” with smaller hooks. The two wood trim w/hooks create a family environment, I like but Visually a bit too busy.

Option 3: Mahoney wood trim is 12” height, larger and small hooks on one 12” height Mahoney trim. The exterior wood panels are 12” height.

Thanks peeps!

AMN I, too, like the look of option 1 best. But, if you seriously need a ton of hook capacity, go with #3.

yvonnecmartin If you want your children to use the hooks, they have to be able to reach them. However, Option 2 looks as if coats on the upper hooks would cover the lower hooks. Maybe a redesign is in order. How about half of the area at the upper height and half at the lower with two shelves one at the upper height and one somewhat lower in the area where there are no hooks. This would be handy for mittens, scarves, umbrellas, etc.

ktiquet Kids grow so fast buy a foot stool and go with 1 it sounds like that is what you like the best! Even if you did 2 or 3 it's hard to get kids to hang up coats and backpacks lop.

Dytecture Option 3 if you need to hang lots of clothes.
