How do I paint a wall...
I have a wall that shares my open kitchen and family room
Where does the kitchen stop and the family room begin?

Sunterra Custom Homes You may want to consider using the same paint color in both spaces as it will make the space feel larger then splitting the two areas up. Without a picture it is hard for anyone to answer your question my friend..

Dezign Studio Inc If you post pictures, maybe more people can give their input .

Dytecture It might be wise to paint both rooms the same color.

Colour Theory You might also consider making the one wall that spans both rooms a strong accent colour, with a paler, more neutral colour in the rest of the space. In that case both rooms wouldn't have to be entirely one colour...(which could be too much of one thing). Each room could have it's own main colour.

Gabberts Design Studio There should be no ending point, unless there is a corner somewhere. If it's a full wall, it needs to stay the same color. These open floorplans are hard to paint sometimes!

loriyreed Here are pics. To the right is the kitchen, the left is the family room.
No end- no beginning! Lol

Susan Ellis - Fine Artist I agree with Sylvia at Colour Theory. Also a fabulous piece of artwork, a print or mirror would be great between the window and sliding doors

loriyreed Thankfully the color I picked can be used in both rooms.
I am going to use Orange Spice from BHG. My family room is very dark with only one window for natural light. All of my furniture is dark colored as well.
Thanks for your help!
