Need help figuring out design element
I think I need something over my couch as the wall looks sort of bare. Any thoughts what I could do that's creative but keeps with the theme?

I think you need a huge square (or tall rectangular) painting or photo above the sofa
Given you have an Eames chair which is such a strong style statement and not to compete with your photo gallery, choose abstract art (think Pollock or Rothko). If not a b&w photo of Chicago, NY or some other city during the 1950s...

J C Thanks for all the help! For a full perspective I included one more picture of the room. It's everything to the right of the couch. As you can see there is a large metal piece of art then another neutral canvas. I'm trying not to compete with everything or make it feel like too much. Perhaps a colorful abstract is the way to go? Hmmm
