Bathroom renovation-should I use bronze fixtures or satin nickel?
I am using crema marfil marble countertops, white vanity and crema marfil floors. White toilet, undermount sink and tub. it seems like the bronze fixtures will add nice contrast, but will they date the bathroom? Satin nickel is safer, but more boring?

acel I have oiled bronze in my bathroom which I bought from Kohler. They discolor. The 'bronze' is rubbing off on the areas where it's touched the most. This is after 5 years of use.. although we started noticing it after one year. If I knew then what I know now I would go with the satin nickel finish.

ASVInteriors From what I am seeing here in Europe, nickel is slowly making an exit to be replaced by the "yellows": brass, gold, polished brass and bronze... I can't guarantee it but most design magazines and home shows are showing a lot more...
Your design sounds lovely and I feel satin nickel is too safe for such a luxurious bathroom.
Best of luck

Creations by Alno, Inc. Just a thought, you can mix metals if you like. Use Satin Nickel for the faucets and items that are touched and use Bronze for accent pieces like hardware, toilet tissue holder, and towel bars and items that are not touched as much. Maybe this would help eliminate the rubbing off issue and yet give you an elegant contrast in design.
