LizaJane Have no idea what the rest of your house looks like but how about a fabulous, large sculptural piece or a large glass vase? You could also paint the inside of the niche a contrasting color.
divadana Thanks,everyone for your posts. I was having a hard time finding vases tall enough. Most were feeling dwarfed in this space. I did find this vase just not in love with it.
Terri Symington, ASID Diva, you don't need a real tall vase if you were to put some long stems or branches in it...like the container in this entry... you don't have a lot of depth, but I'm sure you could find something that would be the right scale...
