Corner fireplace in family room, need help with furniture color
I am having a hard time picking furniture for my family room. I feel like i need to match the fireplace glass tiles. The dark color in glass tiles is a carmel or toffee light color is a very pale green. The floor is rustic hickory. I might paint the walls the pale green that is in the tile. my style is mid century modern/modern. looking for a sturdy modular sectional good for kids, may be leather. I keep looking at the dark carmel color but i really like lighter colors, light bright airy. should i stay away from gray due to the yellow undertones of the tile? the rest of house will be in cool color pallet blues greens aqua etc. any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks

A. Peltier Interiors Dont stay away from greys, they will look great with that tile!! I think you are focusing on matching the colors you have going on in the tiles, which you want to do. But instead just match them in your pillows or smaller accessories and then use neutrals as the main colors. A warm grey will look fantastic with those tiles and then you can do a lighter version of that grey for your upholstery pieces. Even chocolate browns and saddle colors will look amazing with those colors. Add throws and pillows with the greens and yellows and you will have a fantastic looking space!
