Proud as a Peacock!
We bought our 1972 bi-level ranch in Feb 2012. The kitchen was very small. My husband and I blew out the entire common area and made the living room, dining area, and kitchen all one room. We did nearly all the work ourselves. I am a recent graduate of the Art Institutes 2-year Residential Planning Program and this was my first full kitchen remodel. Love it, LOVE it!

kimber3 My kitchen is just like your old one! I love the new one such a wonderful use of space!! I have HOPE again!

Wolffe Interiors LOL kimber3! Right before we began renovating we took a picture and put it on Craigslist. $500 for everything, including appliances and we had people literally running to the front door w/cash. AND they removed it. Great way to start a renovation huh? Thank you so much for your comments!

elklaker You are very talented. It's just gorgeous. What a wonderful inspiration for so many stuck with similarly dated spaces.

Wolffe Interiors Thank you! Those red countertops must have come with the house! Hard to believe there was a time it was desirable! LOL... I'm very happy with how it turned out.

onthefence Wow, you should be proud! That's a great kitchen. It's beautiful - but more important I think is that it looks like a great place to work. That's going to make for a great section in your portfolio. Congratulations!

nFORMAL design Congratulations Wolffe...nice space. Very neutral in a good way. One suggestion (which you probably already know)...hide the rope lights at the top!

Kudos...your first full kitchen was a WIN!

Wolffe Interiors LOL!! I was waiting for my husband to climb up there and secure them better.... perhaps I need a taller step ladder and get up there myself! ;-D Thank you all for the compliments! Very deeply appreciated.

goalie1971 what a beautiful space! do you have a before/after floor plan? we have a small kitchen, but i don't think the setting is identical to yours... ours connects to a "breakfast nook" which looks like a bump out, and then is separated from the dining room by a wall. i would LOVE to do something like you've done - i just can't see how with my space...

Wolffe Interiors Alex4444 - Thank you so much for liking my kitchen! The cabinets were purchased online from the RTACabinetStore - style is Autumn Shaker, the countertop is Black Galaxy Granite, and the tile is from Lowes, it's a glass wall tile called Cappuccino mosaic.
