Trying to up date my kitchen a bit. I won't be replacing the cabinets to soon, however I will be getting new stainless steel appliances. My question is which type of hardware should I pick from the three in this picture to use.
AMN Hard to make a confident suggestion with this small-scale pic, but I think the silvertone knobs are your best choice. Cup pulls are best for a very specific type of decor, and the wood ones just disappear.
Frances Temple-West Architect Perhaps you could use both silver types. Use the pulls on the drawers and the knobs on the doors. The combination could be nice.
kmkh White metal like your knobs would be my vote: chrome, nickel or stainless, brushed or shiny. Any will do, but I would choose long linear pulls not knobs.
My slightly arthritic fingers (and I'm not yet 50!) wouldn't have a problem with knobs yet, but I can see the day coming! Or disregarding arthritis and other such conditions years away, hopefuly, you can open drawer/door with one finger if all the rest are covered in cooking/baking mess.
A Kitchen That Works LLC I vote for brushed or satin nickle finish on a cup on the drawers and a pull on the doors - I am with Kathy, knobs require more fine motor coordination and for those with arthritis, tennis elbow or carpal tunnel, they can make life painful.
