What should I do? Under these circumstances
I know my answer is probably nothing but what can I do to my boyfriends room to make it more homey? I live with him so its "our room"! The comforter is being washed its gray. And he cannot put holes in the wall to hang pictures unless its thumb tax holes, tinyy... Help it drives me insane. The desk is his childhood desk. And we can't repaint. so those are deff staying the same :/

Any suggestions?

Sorry my dog wouldn't move haha

mdamron61 Can the head of the bed go up against a wall without windows? Can you install curtains? Do you have a desk lamp? Put up some nice posters with stick pins.

nmgiorgi Yes I can put the bed against the wall to the right, and I will go buy some curtains to match the bed comforter. I dont know why I haven't yet :)

Jeffrey Brooks Interior Design You can install a drapery rod across the entire wall behind the bed and then hang some curtains across. Solid canvas, opaque and textured semi-sheers or whatever you like. Pottery Barn and other sources will have something you'll like. Make sure you press the panels before hanging for the best effect. Hang a good sized mirror on the wall next to the folding doors for more reflected light and a good place to dress. If you can't put holes in the wall, lean the mirror and anchor it at the floor with water based putty which will clean off easily when YOU MOVE OUT!!!
Try a high tech extending lamp on the desk. Update the stool under the desk with a lucite one.
Add an area rug if you think you'd like it. Keep the rug simple. A solid colored rug with texture will work well. You can find sisal, jute, and other natural fiber rugs online (West Elm).
OK, I'll shut up after this................cover the box spring with a white fitted sheet and then another fitted sheet in Grey, natural, or blue. The white sheet underneath will make the colored sheet look custom and keep it from wrinkling up.
Peace and happy decorating.....................
