Window help
I love the style of this window and don't want to cover it up. However, it faces west and the sun is a killer in the summer. Also, there is already a film on though it's at least 15 years old. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

rinqreation Is there an option to get a screen (or something that'll block sun) on the outside?

bonniegmmsncom possibly. What type?

mcbride2304 The film, even if put on by a professional, doesn't guarantee protection for 10 years. There is a new 3m film called PR 70 that is supposed to be the latest in protection...not too expensive...and not room darkening.

ASVInteriors I had a similar problem in Florida and had burlap panels made with jute webbing for the edges. It gave me privacy, but I could still see out and reduced solar glare (in picture by window)
I have one site for solar film but it is UK based and I am not sure if their film is transparent
http://www.specialistwindowfilmsltd.co.uk/solar.php?section=c you may wish to contact them and ask.

rinqreation Exterior roller blinds or awnings. My neighbor has exterior blinds, from the outside they seem thick but he can see through them just fine. Awnings might not look so swell, but that depends on the overall look&placement..
