Mary Poulos Interior and Exterior Design I think it shows strong elements of mid-century modern. It is a soft modern. I like it. I think you need a very mid century modern (abstract) LARGE hoizontal picture (in colors of your palette) on the wall beyond sofa. The size will also ground and balance the larger aspects of your room and it's furnishings.

Darzy I agree with Deborah Vanderzel Design that is you're going for soft modern or contemporary, the cornice is a bit heavy.
