Mary Poulos Interior and Exterior Design That is so very individual and depends how you use it. Also, on how much space you have. Will a corner tub gobble up too much space. One thing about Corner tubs. They can be more difficult to easily clean. And probably take more water/time to fill.
kdeg Be sure to sit in a tub before choosing one. Only you can determine what is comfortable for you. Having said that, and having had both kinds, I would never again choose to have a corner tub! Hard to reach for cleaning and takes up valuable space. If you do choose a corner tub, be sure your water heater is big enough to fill it. We had a 75 gal heater and still couldn't fill it as full as I would have liked.
ASVInteriors Totally agree with kdeg about sitting in a tub before you choose it - and take your time. I agree with other houzzers - no corner tub. I spend most of my time in rennovations removing them!
Norm Walters Construction Inc. If it's jetted it should also have a heater. They also come in different depths, and some with higher overflows so that you can add more water, even with the same depth tub, check Kohler. Also check out air tubs, not as much trouble keeping them clean due to the water that is left in the plumbing for the jets.
mveasey Yes, the keeping the jetted tub clean is actually a big deal. The last two homes we owned had one and I would never have another one. Ditto on the corner tub, is unfortunately a little outdated, but as they say "whatever floats your boat...or your bath tub!"
