Need sofa layout ideas for open-plan apartment

Hi,

We've just bought a new apartment with an open-plan layout. Place is settling next month and we're currently trying to buy furniture for it. We're having a lot of trouble deciding what kind of sofa layout. What kind of sofa layout would you go for? We would mainly use for TV, but also expect occasional entertaining. Would you go for 2x 2 seaters, or 1x 3 seater + 1x 1 seater, or a 3 seater with chaise or something else entirely? The photos I've uploaded are from the current tenant, so all the furniture will be gone, but we plan on having the same rough living/dining/tv layout.

olldbobbi Nice place! Personally, I would never go for the 2 x 2 combination, because they're not big enough to really stretch out and when you entertain you could have people who don't know each other sitting too closely. That would make me uncomfortable. I would do 2-3 seaters facing each other and two chairs facing the tv. The chairs don't have to be big, just comfortable for guests.
