I Know the fireplace need a mantel but don't know what kind? The room is narrow so it's really hard to arrange the furniture.. Would there be a way to add storage under the windows? I would like to keep the blue wall but the other two need something?

Beach House - New Construction pic doesn't really indicate if there is a recess created by the FP. If so, you could add window seats with storage on either side. You have room to add a traditional wood surround with mantel if you like that style. You could put a simple shelf-style mantel too.

I would get different furniture. It seems too bulky for this small space.

Do you really need the Chairs to accommodate your family? Its just too much furniture for that space. I would definitely move the recliner to another room or sell it. I'd probably move the rocking chair too, but it may be fine once the recliner is gone.

Love the blue wall.

Would you consider mounting the television above the fireplace? I know it's nice to keep it open for pretty accessories, but with a room this size, having more than one focal point creates a problem. I would do a simple mantle, move the tv above the fireplace, and if there's space--try a sofa across the fireplace...it's hard to tell if there is enough room. You could then add a short bookshelf or console that could have storage behind the sofa. Short-term, I would definitely take one of the chairs out of the room--either the light colored one that matches the sofa or the recliner. I like the rocker--it breaks up all the matching furniture. Adding crown molding to this room would make a world of difference.
