Wood fence alternatives - Don't want eyesore
We have termites in our wood fence and instead of treating it would like to replace it with an alternative material that would not present us with termite problems again. I love the look of real wood. Not a fan of the painted wood look so do not want white PVC fence. Is there anything that looks like wood that or wood that is made to keep away termites? Brick seems like a jail between two houses. Any suggestions appreciated.

Ironwood Builders Trex makes fencing...but only the fence boards to my knowledge. Pressure treated posts (wood) still need to be sunk in the ground, even the PVC fences start with a PT post. If your fence was originally built with standard wood posts, the pressure treated will keep the insects at bay for quite a while.

Vivian Chern Is pressure treated wood composite? Also we have dry wood termites not subterranean. And the fence is on top of brick. Attached is a photo.

zenhome Hi Vivian, I just googled composite fencing and was amazed at all the options available. I would start there and get a list of manufacturers. You will love all the styles available too which look so much like real wood, only better since no maintenance is required.

Good luck!
