What color appliances should be used
with existing countertop and cabinets, what appliance color would you use?

feeny Either stainless (which goes with everything) or white (to go with your counters).

Toni Sabatino I think stainless steel would look the best. Here is a blue and white and wood kitchen with stainless.

olldbobbi Normally I would say white but in this case I think stainless steel.

Caesarstone Territory Sales Consultant I am with the majority here and would suggest stainless, it seems they are already using a stainless sink.

cherub I think white would be best, stainless is too cold looking with the tone of wood. I would also make the walls more of a contrast, choose a warm shade of green.

Jayme Hobbs Probably stainless...but white could work also/often has stainless trim...but I would change the wallpaper..

Kim Drier I think if you had stainless appliances with door covers that match your cabinets. They will blend with your counters and the other cabinetry. You could punch it up by using color on your walls that accentuates one of the lesser colors of the adjacent room to tie them together. Are your backslplashes tile or wallboard? It looks like wallpaper which isn't real sanitary in a kitchen, but if you use tile or the beautiful stamped metal tiles in stainless, right up to the bottom of the cabinets you've got plenty of design options opening up. Using the larger metal tile (12" x 12" or 10" x10") and alternating them you could probably use a Copper and Tin checkerboard pattern to reflect and warm up those white counter tops.

Good luck and happy decorating!

Julie Dvorak It is not a rental--we will be changing out the wallpaper and flooring, too.

Jayme Hobbs Well, I don't think white would be so bad either...any plans for backsplash and/or flooring changes?

hmschoolmom Stainless. The white may feel too stark and cold. I think that stainless actually warms up a kitchen that has wood tones. The white may be too dated unless you go whole hog with a complete reno.
