Need help deciding which kitchen appliances to purchase
I am replacing all of the appliances in my kitchen. I'm looking at Wolf, Viking, Dacor, & Therrmador. Any recommendations or any good or bad experiences you have had with any of these appliances? Thanks

Ironwood Builders These are all top brands. Depends on what you are wanting in terms of looks and function. We've installed all of them, plus the standards and not so standards (the LaCanche from France was an interesting install). For the best and most complete review of appliances I recommend Consumer Reports. One person's story is just that. CR puts the various machines through a battery of tests and evaluates them....more scientific than anecdotal evidence. For my part, I had the Viking range in two homes (miss it now). The thermocouples in the oven fail about every five years...but the rest of the range is still going strong. I've had clients that wouldn't have anything but Thermador. Wolf is an old restaurant line that has been bought by Sub-Zero. They are tanks too. The Dacor is/was OK....I was never really impressed...but haven't put one in for a long time, so things may have changed. I've heard really bad things about he Electroux...wasn't on your list. but thought I'd throw that in. All of these opinions are just that...

Cheryl Hannebauer We will be building a new home this fall.. I also looked at Fisher& Paykel and DCS by Fisher & Paykal ;also for wall ovens & cook top I looked at the Fulgor from Itlay...besides the ones you listed here. Hubby deceided to look at Consumer reports now as well, so we are now looking there online

Madeline Check out the Garden Forum for kitchens online. Real-life people who are designing new kitchens have considered these and tons more and then purchased them and they all compare and comment and recommend and even whine a bit. It's total fun. For me I love my Thermador duel fuel range and in my previous kitchen absolutely loved my Gaggenau double ovens (quite petite) and 6 burner gas cooktop. I'd recommend you check them out and of course, Sub Zero. It's actually the Garden Web with different forums covering different topics. Try this website for info: .http://ths.gardenweb.com/forums/kitchbath

zenhome I do agree with searching the latest consumer reports on appliances. For what it's worth, I couldn't be happier with my Viking appliances I purchased in 2011.

Good luck with your decision!
