9x13 bathroom
I would like to ask a (long) question about my bathroom. I've merged a closet with a small bath and added windows for light. I've removed everything from my old bathroom; and I am putting in a new master bath. How to lay out the bathroom? Re-finished claw foot tub under the windows is one option that I like. Then a galley look where the toilet and vanity are on one side and the glass shower opposing. The problem is ---- when you open the door to the new bathroom, the toilet is sitting across the room as a focal point. So, here is the question--should I focus on the great views that I will have while standing in the shower every morning, or move everything around so the toilet is hidden? Thank you! Oh, it's a farm property with no neighbors, FYI.

Laura Stermer In the picture with the blue wall, I am assuming you are standing in bedroom. Are you closing off the original bath door way on the left? that would hide the view of toilet, I am assuming you are planning to wall in one of those two openings and placing the shower in that space? I would take your shower pan, or measurement and play with the layout, maybe take some more photos and post. Also a photo of the vanity wall. Do you have a crawlspace to move plumbing around freely? or trying to keep the sink and toilet in original locations if possible?

I would layout on floor measurements of shower pan in corner where original doorway was, and mark dimensions of tub on floor, and see if you have room to walk (36' - 42') if you use right closet door as your new entrance..

Robert Burns Yes, one door will be closed off. The bathtub will be on the right as you walk in, so I have to use the door on the left.
