Laminate, tile, carpet, Help!
Hi Everyone! New to the Houzz community and in need of design help. I am having moisture issues in my downstairs bathroom so I will need to completely replace the flooring in the downstairs kitchen/bathroom. Also my carpet has shown signs of wear and tear so I am probably going to have to replace carpeting throughout the house pretty soon. I am at loss with what to do!! Take a look at the photos please. What are you all thoughts? I want to make the best budget friendly decision. I am leaning towards wood laminate though out the first floor but I am concerned with how this with look in contrast with my carpeted upstairs/steps area?

Also with laminate, dark, light, in between? I have no idea!!

Thanks in advance everyone!

Deborah Butler, Brickwood Builders First things first. What is causing the moisture issue? The kitchen appears to be tile, so it must be fairly significant to affect the tile. How is the fix for the moisture being addressed?

Cancork Floor Inc. Yep. No help for it! Moisture mitigation! Find an expert to get to the bottom of the moisture issue. Is it a "slab" issue? Plumbing? Breach in the foundation? Flood?

Without those answers, there is no way to know which way to go.
