robcon Love the idea of floor to ceiling drapes.. If you like the cottage or shabby chic look, you might also consider layering a faux roman shade in a contrasting or complimentary color along the top but behind your drapes. So you would see the blinds then a roman shade covering the top of the window and the wall above the window and finally the floor to ceiling drapery panels. Would be a great way to pop your accent walls.
