Seeking advice re: window treatment
Pondering whether to go with white, wide slat plantation shutters and/or drapes for the window. Not sure about the door; need privacy but not loving the idea of a Venetian blind and looking for other ideas.

Jayme Hobbs What look do you want to go with? Seems like plantation shutters would look great here.

Rachel Jane Going for comfy and contemporary. New home, starting from scratch. Considering a sectional approx 88 x 88 along window wall and wall opposite fireplace, colour to coordinate with the metallic dark blues/greys of backsplash in adjacent kitchen area. Will attach image in next post.

Jayme Hobbs You want cleaner lines then...plantation shutters would look great.

Rachel Jane hmmm, pic of backsplash isn't really reflective of actual colour. It's actually more dark blue and grey.

Rachel Jane What would you do with the window on the back door?

Jayme Hobbs Personally, I would go for a similar look on the door...a similar type wood slat ...I am the first to admit that window coverings are not my forte, although I do have a knack for what looks "right".

Jayme Hobbs Color-wise, I do not think I would do a grey-ish shutter color, but more one to tie into the trim and/or wall colors.

Rachel Jane Sorry, I meant I will coordinate backsplash colours with furniture I have yet to buy. I agree re: blind colour to match window trim.
