Entry Door Options
A quick poll about what door type you like best for a new build traditional / new american design. I am looking at what type of door and not the actual door in photo.

Double front
Single with glass surround
Single Door no surround (width 36" - 42")

Barnhart Gallery I know some people are not big fans of double fronts, but as one who chose single with sidelights, I regret it when squeezing in my superfat Christmas tree and furniture. I vote double -- especially if it's the one in the photo.

stitzcrew I am leaning toward doubles as long as I can secure the non-use door so they can't be kicked in very easily. They will only be used for guests as we will likely use the door to garage and to the backyard. I love glass doors but am concerned about an easy entry point for burglar. Any thoughts on door security. I don't want to make it easy but know that most homes can be broken into if someone really wants in.

Carolyn Albert-Kincl Design Double doors seem to speak of luxury and quality, whether it's actually there or not.

Doors4Home.com It has been our experience that double doors are the most appealing set up for homes. The main reason most of our customers like them is for the appearance; however they also love the ability to open both doors which makes moving items in and out of the house a breeze! Furthermore, pending on the size of the opening, a taller door like an 8ft door or an 8ft arched door may be more appealing and cost effective than a smaller door like a 6'8" door with a transom above.
