Need help with deciding whether staying consistent with cabinets
I have three full baths and a kitchen in our home we are remodeling from top to bottom. I have picked walnut shaker for my kitchen a modern half moon ceramic wall mount sink with chrome towel bar accents for my guest bath. I can't decide if I stay consistent with similar wood like kitchen for master and full bath upstairs or perhaps white. My tile is a cut grey stone which looks closely like the grey linen tile. Any thoughts are welcome:)

Dytecture Exciting (decision) times ahead. There is no right or wrong answer to this. Personally I would keep all the cabinetry the same style throughout the house, but perhaps the main bathrooms could be white and use the same wood for the Master Ensuite as the kitchen to give a bit of distinction.

Aegean-Designing Whims I agree with Dytecture about anything goes today. I too would keep the cabinetry the same, and even go so far to keep the counter tops the same to save money if you have to buy slabs. I'd look at the master bathroom and do it with something different. Is someone helping you with your design? Contractors will often build what you want, but it's left to the homeowner to figure it out. If you can, I'd have an interior designer help you or a bath designer for the master bath. Chrysteen

hparks74 Is it ok to use the same floor tile throughout but with different accent tiles in each different room?

hparks74 @dytecture I want to add that I follow your comments and you are always polite and sincere and generous with your design suggestions. You are never snide nor rude and you inspire creativity. Thank you! I read post from other designers and often I nearly fall off my chair with their tact less commentary.

Ironwood Builders Hope I'm not one of those! I had a similar conversation about matching cabinets throughout a house with someone earlier today. Budget builders do this to save $$. Less design time, less confusion from the installers and less paperwork. Less custom too! i think the idea of a large format tile that is the same with different accents makes a statement. Thought and care went into the design. if the accents are bold and the field tile is not, the accents will be remembered and the field tile will be a backdrop.

onthefence hparks - may I ask where you've found walnut shaker cabinets?

hparks74 Well it's actually a solid wood with a walnut stain and mocha glaze. It's a company here in Nashville that custom stains cabinets. Not actually real walnut but still very pretty

hparks74 @ironwood never have I seen you be anything less then a gentleman. I do have in my opinion have a knockout floor tile but its just my opinion. Here is a sample

hparks74 It's a steel blue grey like cut granite.

onthefence Thanks for the info hparks. Walnut (or a good lookalike) seems to be what I keep being drawn to.

BTW - I really like your tile!
