Keitha A little confused ? Which chairs are you planning to recover? You have a lovely space and the first thing I would recommend is to take a few plants out of the room. The palm behind the wing chair and small plant on adjacent table are nice but remove others in that space. The plants on the left need to be thinned out too. Try removing all plants except the fern in the urn.
Keitha My vote on the last batch of drapes is a no... You need a heavier drape. The panels you have now look like a nice color but they are a little skimpy... Each panel should be a little wider
Keitha My vote is one of the top two ( green or gold) they are all beautiful but I just like a little less formal look. Did you decide on something for the wing chair?
judyg I vote for the the bottom left blue for the window treatments. I would love to see some of the blue in the rug up on the windows. As for your chair, none of your selections. the choices seem to be very yellow/orange.
decoenthusiaste I like the gold fabric with roses for the wind. Not impressed with the drapery samples though. Would you consider a vertical stripe? The eye needs to be drawn up and it might give you a feeling of height in your space.
The thibaut will be expensive, so shop around. The spice is sooooooooooo affordable, use that in the larger quantity. Get cuttings first and make sure my monitor isn't lying to me :>)
JMittman Designs I think those are too much blue. You have a lot of the spice in the room, two chairs that are yellow or cream?, rug with spice and blue. I pulled these from one of my vendors for some ideas. Hard to tell if the colors are right.
Marie Hebson's interiorsBYDESIGN Inc. Hi applecider1111, Marie here.
You know what - I like that you've got some pattern and texture in your living room - but I don't think its necessary for your dining room - its gets over crowded with pattern on pattern.
I'd keep it textural not floral - creating a bit of yummy tension between your traditional aesthetic and a more modern approach. Always a winning combination! You could also introduce some gorgeous grass cloth for textural on one accent wall, then add a neutral silk drape for opulence.
Good Luck with your project - and think outside the box!
JMittman Designs I don't like the large floral for the chair--is it a yellow background or cream? You have two pics of it? I don't mind the paisley, but does that match the rug? Does the rug have blue or not?
Someone mentioned above that your current panels were a bit skimpy and I agree. You should have 1.5 to 2 width panels on those windows. It will make a big difference in the fullness of the pleats, which makes the curtains more luxurious. When they are hanging, dress them so that the inside edges of the window frame are covered--the curtains should cover and inch or two of the glass.
JMittman Designs What is that picture of the dining room? That is your current dining room? Did you change it already? Those last fabrics you show are very pretty, but not seeing them adding anything to your living room. Starting to think a solid or the stripe is best as you have a lot of patterns already.
JMittman Designs I like that texture in the last one, interesting. How much sunlight comes into the room? Both of these types of fabric choices have their curses. Silk can rot or fade if not properly lined. Linen can shrink or stretch! :)
If it were me, I'd go for one a bit darker than the walls.
Amy I really love your space. Kind of agree on too many plants is all. :-) You could probably help ME with my decorating dillema I just posted today. :-)
brody1313 I would pick a mostly solid blue fabric that blends w/the rug for both the living room and dining room curtains...........then pick a blue pattern fabric for the chair......the gold chairs add contrast.....love the large picture and hope there is a little blue in it .the green silk would look fantastic w/picture,but not sure how it would do w/blue rug good luck it's a beautiful room
JMittman Designs You want ready made, correct, not custom? Or do you want fabrics too? I will give a look and see what I can come up with. I like the blue idea too. You have choices. You can layer, sheer and curtains, but I would not do the same pattern. And I don't know that I would do that in your room.
If you want to layer, for your room, I would do roman shades or woven shades, with side panels. A much better look for your room--and not the fussy puddled tied back ones above.
JMittman Designs What if you went this route? Cover the chair in the microfiber, and replace the throw with something less heavy like the one below from Ballard. Sorry, pictures are so tiny, was hard to save as jpg.
Fine Designs & Interiors, Ltd. What is really current right now is to match the draperies to the walls in a solid color with maybe a leading edge with some decorative gimp. I think the fullness on the draperies needs increased. Then recover the chairs in a coordinating tone on tone fabric to the draperies. If you would like to see my fabric suggestions let me know!
applecider1111 If you would like to see my fabric suggestions let me know! ---yes , very glad to know your recommendation, about the blue fabric for the chair , how about these?
JMittman Designs No, not the above at all. I think you are getting off track. Unless my screen is really showing colors differently from what they are!
Also for the drapes, except the drape samples I listed above, any recommendation is welcome.
for the stripe drape, how about these?
These?

I am looking for the fabric for both wing chair and the drapes":)
so, for the drapes, seems the golden or wheat color will be good?
