New house builder...and the drama goes on
Ok so as most of you know I have been having issues with our builder. The major one so sad has been the front door. After being charged $1695 ( which includes $750 to stain the double doors, paint the transom and after the credit on the standard door) for a no glass, fiber glass stained double door with a painted transom. I passed by this evening to check on the house and saw the front door installed but no transom is there. Why am I not surprised?!!! I asked the sales person we are dealing with over and over and over again if he was sure there was a transom for a double door and the answer was "we are talking about the 6'8 door right? I will send you the change order to sign" and the change order included a charge for a transom plus a charge for its painting!!! Now I didn't call him yet, I plan on doing that tomorrow, but here is what I anticipate he is going to say/do and I hope i turn out to be mistaken:
"Oh that was an error, you were never charged for a transom anyway or for its painting. The price I gave you includes the credit ($500) for the standard door, transom and side lights. "
I will let you guys know what he says tomorrow. Thank you for reading but I had to vent!!!!

ASVInteriors Sometimes stuff happens. However, frustrating this is, give them a chance to explain themselves and put it right before the walkthrough
