Need suggestions for living room

I Need some ideas for our living room layout and accessorizing. We just purchased this sofa. Trying to decide what else would work in the space. Thinking one or two chairs and maybe a small side table next to the chair. I would like the chair/s to be neutral so we can change the look without having to buy all new furniture in the future. My husband would really like to see red accents in the space including red curtains. I don't mind red as long as it's done well and isn't too bright. I would like the room to feel comfortable and warm, not formal. We don't have a tv in this room. It is mainly where we sit and read or for when guests come over. Also, it is not a large space so I don't want it to feel too crowded.
