bertykirlanstout It is not as sturdy as they say it is. It seems kind of soft and we have already put a small chip in it around the sink. It has been in for 6 weeks. I'm constantly worried about my family putting things down to hard or hitting things near the edges. My friend said she is dissapointed in it in her kitchen, but it is great in her bathroom.
studiolp Thanks for your comment!!
We're looking at Caesarstone in the color Cement. We're upgrading from a laminate countertop which we have had no problems with. Just tired of the color.
The problem is I have a home baking business and tend to overload my countertops. I'm very good about not putting anything hot or cutting on the laminate. My concern is whether or not I should put the money into Caesartstone or Granite (mixed reviews) or go with the new Formica laminate. Half the price and I already know how to work with it.
Norm Walters Construction Inc. As for the undermount sink there are two ways to mount it. One with the quartz going into or past the edge of the sink, and one where you actually see about a 1/2" of the sink rim. The latter would probably be more effective in reducing chips on the edge.
