Can you paint ceramic floor tile?
I have a kitchen floor that is ceramic. Can it be painted with any success? Just tired of the color.

olldbobbi Doubtful. However, Rustoleum has come out with a new tile restoration product just for tile, you could look into it. My fear is that after you do all the work, any paint will wash/wear off.

ASVInteriors I paint ceramic tiles (their sides) with enamel gloss paint. But that is different to a floor which will get walked upon, will show all the painting faults, and what do you do about the joints? I know that bath tub tiles are often painted over and with a degree of success - perhaps contact one of these suppliers and ask them for their thoughts

Robin W I had a friend who painted their kitchen floor tile a few years ago (I think they used paint designed for cement floors). It can done, but it needs to be sealed properly And expect it to start showing signs of wear within a few months.
