Need help with window coverings
Hello,

We are updating the kitchen and have added three recessed lights to the replace the chandelier since this photo was taken. We are planning to paint our cabinets black and paint the kitchen a neutral bright color in the tan family. Can any one suggest what type of kitchen table we should buy and what type of window treatments we could get for this area? Pictures would be great. Thanks!

jansgirl Are you going for a more contemporary feel or???

morristhecat I'm going more contemporary. You could still give it a pop with a fabric of your choosing and having someone make roman shades for you. You don't have to lower if you don't want to, just the look I like. These (2 windows) are in my bedroom. Get the new "clutch" mechanism in the back to raise and lower very easily. My bedroom is slate gray, expresso, and creamy yellow/gold walls. Fabric is white and slate gray. I had a very cheap chair recovered in a houndstooth type that is actually in front on one window. The rest of the room is subdued but 2 yellow ottomans at foot of bed.

knoxnews I was going with something traditional to go with the rest of the house and blend with black cabinets. But the contemporary shades look nice. I hadn't thought about that.
