Ugly sink hardware help!
Is it possible to change the handles/spout on a sink without changing the internal hardware (pipes etc)? I have a very nice pedestal sink in our powder room with very dated-looking 80s handles/spout. I would like to replace it so it looks better aesthetically. How difficult is this? Any help/advice is very much appreciated! Thank you!

K&R Contractors, Inc All faucets are replaceable without replacing the piping under your sink. You can take your faucet into a plumbing supply store or Lowes/Home Depot to find a replacement faucet because not all faucets are made the same. Some have single supplies and so on. If you have a plumbing supply store in your town, try there first because the faucets that are supplied by the box stores are not the same quality that your plumber would use and you as a consumer can still purchase from the same supplier as your plumber, you just would not get the same price as he does and you will purchase a much better product! Hope that helps.

Dytecture Do you have a photo of what the current faucet looks like ? As K&R Contractor Inc. mentioned, you don't need to replace the piping when updating the faucet. it might be tricky to get a wrench underneath the counter to loosen the faucet, but once you've done one, it gets easier.
