What can you say about my Future Kitchen
This image was introduce to me only to conceptualize the future design. Can you tell what is lacking? How can I improve the color combination? Thanks

Deborah Vanderzel Designs Perhaps a more current counter top and backsplash , Silas stone and glass tile

Large scale interesting light fixtures over the island
It's really nice, how exciting for you!

printesa Nice kitchen! I would change the counter top and the back-splash. For the counter, try a solid color (even white as you have on the floor). For the back-splash, look at some glass tiles (mosaic or other designs). It will update the kitchen. Good luck!

fatty helen Thanks printesa I'm open with that will see how it looks like

onthefence Truthfully - I see some issues that wouldn't be personal choices for me.

There's no 'landing area' close enough to the fridge. If you have a large item (requiring 2 hands) to put away, you'll need to open the door and reach around the ovens or over to the peninsula to get the item you want to put in. Putting groceries away will be the same issue. You'll either need to set them on the floor or reach a distance to get the foods you want to put away.

I do like the floor color - but I'm not crazy about the border.

Where is the sink and DW? Where are the dishes in relation to the DW and where is the dining area in relation to the dishes?

I've been mentally planning a kitchen for a long time so these are the kinds of things I look at when I'm looking at other kitchens ;-)

cani I agree with others about the countertop and backsplash. Please tell me what the floor is - I want it!

collettec Often a kitchen has a more traditional "triangle" configuration with the sink, oven and range, and refrigerator forming a triangle with each other. This is more awkward with the refrigerator and ovens right next to each other. Love the cabinets and flooring, but I think the border detracts from the cabinets. I think the countertops would look better in a less busy pattern or a solid.

Leigh I like the updated kitchen. Personally I would swap out the backsplash too. I feel it has that "granny" feel to it, a little too "foofoo" for me. I love color & with the white trim I think a warm shade of gold or green, even a dark taupe would be good. Depending on colors in a new back splash or other rooms you may want to tie in. It would make the trim & floor stand out more. It's an inexpensive way to make a big change. The hardware on the cabinets is great, but if you changed them out to something black in a wrought iron it would be another way to make a statement.
Oh... BTW... is that a warming oven under the oven??? oooo lucky you!

Leigh The floor looks like it may be slippery when wet & solid white will show spills VERY easily. The photo depicts it as very reflective. Also, wood floor is easier on feet & joints... if you are planning to stay in this house for years.

Specht Harpman random thoughts: rotate the island 90 degees so you can use it with the fridge ad ovens (there's too much empty floor space, too far to carry heavy pans). use a solid color countertop and a colorful backsplash. get an led undercabinet light, so the lightbulb is not visible; a track light above the island would allow you to easily replace the pendants in the future. the fridge doesn't seem to fit the hole (the cabinets above the fridge are pushed in too far). wood floor. the upper cabinets to the right of the ovens are not in plane with the cabinets above the ovens.

SPACIALISTS Change the counter tops and back splash, all in all good luck and cook some amazing meals there.

oneofeleven I agree with Leigh 100%. If you cook a lot, that floor will be hard to keep clean and very hard on your legs and back and anything that drops will shatter. If you don't cook much, have children or pets around then the floor is lovely.
