Sue Fiorentini How about just painting the island and adding some trim on the island? That's what I was thinking of doing in my kitchen. Your kitchen needs a pop of color, seeing some lime green in the other room. Perhaps bring the green in on the rug, some plates on the soffit, and green placemats on the counter or artwork?
rebel858585 Yes, I agree with color!! Trying the blue green in rooms as we have an open view to pool! The Halloween theme :) brings me down!! Maybe a more contrasting color for rug ?? It's the darkest room of home with no exterior wall....why I think painted cab will be like sunshine
Bickhaus Homes My first thought in looking at the kitchen was to get some color on the walls. The cabinets are pretty, they have a nice glow, the back splash should be a lighter stone though the black is too heavy and sucks the light out of the room. Then I saw the pictures for the adjacent rooms.......Oh Geez......We need some color in the whole house! I'm just not a big fan of the muted look, anyone can do that and you have great natural light for color. The house is so pretty, it needs to be livened up a little. But if it's that look you think you'll love for years to come, then the cabinetry does not flow and should be painted. But my vote is to leave them and add color to the walls of your lovely home.
rebel858585 How about switching out some door with glass?? Undercab lighting?? Their is a lot of space from cab to ceiling...when I place things on top of them it seems to increase the cave feel
I agree with Interiors International. It could work either way.
Not a huge fan of the floor.
