Pendant sizing
Would a lantern pendant that is 14" W and 28" H be too small to go over a kitchen table that is 36" W and 54" L? The table is in a very open kitchen, not an enclosed room. I attached a picture of the lantern.

lag1129 Thank you, that article is very helpful for pendant lighting over the island. However, I was hoping to use this fixture over my kitchen table. I'll post some pictures of my table area so you can get a better idea of sizing.

Lydia The pendant is definitely too small! If you really like this one, think of putting two (or three?) over the table.

apple_pie_order Beautiful pendant, is there a link to the manufacturer's site?

To get an idea about size, try a same-size cardboard box with most of the sides cut out so that it appears to be a frame, then string it up or have someone hold it in place. Easy, cheap.

JWinteriors You have selected a beautiful pendant. However, its size is more suited to go over your island. With that being said, find a coordinating, 30" chandelier for your table. Install it so that it hangs 30-32 inches from the top of the table. Remember, light fixtures are the jewelry of the room. They need to make a statement.

calikym I really like it! Modern yet somehow traditional at the same time. Seems like a fixture that can withstand the test of time.
