What rug goes with this wallpaper?.

Imagine a bedroom with white timber single bed, this marigold wallpaper and the French armchair in the second photo. What rug goes on the floor? We need to get color into the room, so maybe the rug is part of that? But it cant be too 'busy' or it will clash with the wallpaper, and it needs to work with the period look of the armchair. Suggestions please?

Because the style is quite modern eclectic, my thought was that a muted cow hide rug could work

If you feel a bit more daring - these muted colours would echo the traditional carpet

or failing that go for a high sheen textural rug that doesn't compete with the monochrome elegance

You can stick to neutral carpet and use color in bedding, lamps, pillows, art.
