carole the room looks pretty well put together already,so how about teal!!i would get 4 the same 50/50 pict 1 cushions and 2 40/40 pict 2 and fill out the shelf a bit with some more accesoires, and if possible hang your boxes but before you do make them white, sticky vinyl, they really stand out at the moment!!

ptmatthews Select some art for above the sofa and let that determine your accent color.

sajl2011 Thanks for the suggestions but I'm having a hard time finding something for the wall above my couch! I was thinking about doing a photo wall. Any ideas?

Barbara Griffith Designs The coffee table is too big..and too brown..the rug would be OK with out that table..something lighter..glass and smaller. Add a pair of print chairs to the window wall with a table & lamp between...choose a fabric like the stripe in the pillow above...but definitely a pattern for the chairs.. it almost needs to be a stripe because of the pattern in the drapery. Add large colorful art. Colorful patterned pillows on the sofa.

ptmatthews A grouping of black and white photos in black frames would look good. It looks like you actually have a lot of black and white going on in the room, with blue as your accent color. That's a classic color combination, and I'm not sure you need more color than that. Filling up the shelves will make the room feel much more complete, and books always make a room feel cozier.
